July 7, 2021 [Tanabata]

 Today is July 7th which means that today in Japan people are celebrating Tanabata! The story of Orihime and Hikoboshi is very beautiful and I am not surprised that their love story inspired such an exciting and remarkable festival. I've actually went to a Tanabata festival back in 2019, although at that time I thought it was just a regular summer festival.  I had some delicious food and had so much fun despite the scorching summer heat. Also, I did not know that Tokyo Dinseyland celebrates Tanabata! That sure sounds fun.. 

However, since I am currently not in Japan right now, I will have to pass on Tanabata this year...hopefully next year I will get a chance to go again!
